I have been actively involved in middle market leasing and financing over the last 33 years, and has held numerous field and senior management positions with industry leaders such as GE Capital, Barclays Bank PLC and Wachovia. That tenure has enabled me to gain extensive expertise in all areas of commercial lending, from business origination to underwriting and funding, maintaining strong working knowledge in diverse capital intensive industries. Recent years experience includes Regional Sales Manager positions with GE Capital and Barclays Leasing

Credit Markets in Charlotte

Banks and institutional sources are actually starting to fund transactions in the $500,000 to $2,000,000 range on a limited basis. Charge - offs are down, or at least reserved for adequately, and run-off is killing returns. Credit requirements are very conservative, back to what I call “1970’s Bank Credit Manual” loans. After years of working deals and then having the pipeline completely dry up, I am back to digging in and cold calling again. It really is a forgotten "art" and I am a little rusty. I do find it interesting to get back in the game and it is exciting to have a few quick hits in the early stages.
