OK, I"ll give a positive... Muni deals can still get done, and they don't always have cash any more. I did $1 million + deals with two munis in the past six months, and several smaller deals.

US Election Reflection - Revisited at inauguration

The effect of partisanship in U.S. politics has been a concern of mine for some time, and once the election was over, I wanted to share some thoughts with my family, as we move into a new era. I'm a conservative who has become sick of conservatives. But, I'm also sick of liberals. I'm sick of labels.

In recent months, our country has divided politically, as we often do, during our move toward an election of a new president. As we finalized the results last Tuesday evening, it became clear that… Continue

Brokers -- Managing Customers

This article will be published in World Leasing News in November, as a follow up to my "Managing Vendors" article in October's issue. At Brian Whelan's suggestion, I am placing it here, in case a LeaseBLOG member might want to view it.
________________________________________________________

In September, I wrote an article about the importance of managing vendor relationships as an equipment lease broker; this month, we’ll take it a step further, and discuss the customer relationship, and why… Continue

Brokers -- Managing Equipment Vendors

This article was published in the October/2008 issue of the World Leasing News.. I wanted to re-post here to share with the LEASEBLOG members.
__________________________________________________

As an equipment lease broker, it’s important to manage business relationships. Broker management, and sales representatives, can simplify their lives and enhance their sales efforts by managing their equipment vendors. Equipment vendors are funny animals when it comes to interacting with lessors and brok… Continue

Your welcome Curt. In fact I have enjoyed reading each one of your blog posts and have shared them with my sales staff. I think pretty much what Baylore does is on our website www.baylore.com We have become more involved in customer assistance through these times lately, but otherwise we are mostly into commercial equipment leasing. I welcome an opportunity for us to do business together. Not only are we country neighbours, we are state/provincial neighbours too. Have a great day.

Hey Curt! Gregory is still on a feeding tube. They are going to give him 23 shock treatments so that he can regain his swallowing ability, and then hopefully be able to eat. They moved him out of the hospital to a nursing home. He was happy to get out of the hospital after five months. Thanks for adding him to your prayer list, he's getting better very slowly.
